Secretarial ComplianceThe National e-Governance Services Limited (NeSL) on May 05, 2026, issued a circular regarding the availability of Electronic Bank Guarantees (e-BGs) through Entity Locker.

The following has been stated:-

•The initiative enables access to Electronic Bank Guarantees (e-BGs) through the Entity Locker platform, developed by National e-Governance Services Limited in collaboration with National e-Governance Division under MeitY. 

•It allows applicants and beneficiaries to securely retrieve e-BG documents digitally without changing the existing issuance process.

•The system promotes paperless access, transparency, and ease of doing business, with features like single sign-on, PAN-based authorization, and full lifecycle access to e-BGs. 

•Integration through APIs enables real-time notifications, document retrieval, and seamless linkage with enterprise systems and government portals.

•Banks are required to obtain explicit consent under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, maintain auditable records, and provide a one-time declaration for enabling access via Entity Locker. 

•They act as the sole data fiduciary, responsible for compliance, data security, grievance redressal, and all liabilities related to e-BG data and consent management.
